Lisa Gabriele on why she added a modern twist to a classic gothic novel with The Winters

Lisa Gabriele is an award-winning Canadian writer, producer and director best known for the S.E.C.R.E.T. trilogy, which has been published in more than 30 countries. Her new book, The Winters, is a romantic thriller about wealth, infatuation and the past, inspired by the best-selling novel Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier.

Gabriele dropped by the q studio to talk about her new novel and why she wanted to re-imagine a world where the women have changed, but men have not.
