Canadian music icon John Mann, the frontman of the Canadian rock band Spirit of the West, has died at age 57. Since 2014, Mann had been dealing with the effects of early-onset Alzheimer's disease, which he spoke publicly about.

On today's show, we celebrated Mann's legacy with two of the people who knew him best: CBC host and musician Grant Lawrence of The Smugglers, and musician Alan Doyle of Great Big Sea.
