Supinder Wraich is the writer, co-producer and star of the new CBC Gem series, The 410, named after the highway that connects the city of Brampton, Ont., to the city of Toronto.
In the series, Wraich plays an Instagram influencer named Suri who has to raise a quarter of a million dollars to bail her father out of jail.
She joined host Tom Power live in the q studio to talk about how her own upbringing factors into the plot of The 410, and why she felt so strongly about portraying a flawed South Asian Canadian family.
