'I would never hide the proof of my survival': Measha Brueggergosman on recovering from heart surgery
This holiday season, celebrated Canadian soprano Measha Brueggergosman is teaming up with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra for their Holiday Pops concert.
For Brueggergosman, it's a happy ending to a very tough year in which she lost a family member, got divorced and underwent an emergency double-bypass surgery. It's the second time in 10 years that she's needed a life-saving heart operation.
Now Brueggergosman is using her voice to educate women about the early symptoms of heart disease. She joined q's Tom Power from a studio in Halifax to tell us more.
The Toronto Symphony Orchestra's Holiday Pops concerts take place on Dec.10, 11 and 12 at Roy Thomson Hall.
