From the tight-lipped valet to the wise-cracking manservant, the British butler is a staple character in popular culture -- but, beyond film and television, it seems that butlers are also on the rise in the real world.

Jian speaks with GQ writer David Katz, who recently wrote a feature on the trend: The Real Butlers of the .001 Percent. Katz notes that many rich families, particularly the newly wealthy, can and will pay to incorporate the tradition of the formal, uniformed British butler into their home lives.
