Father John Misty performs live from I Love You, Honey Bear

Josh Tillman created an alter-ego to great success with Father John Misty, but on his second record he seeks to balance his imaginary persona with his very real feelings of love towards his new wife.

After years of music-making in relative obscurity, Josh Tillman created an alter-ego that finally broke through. Father John Misty's debut record Fear Fun became a surprise hit in 2012 -- but it wasn't long before the man who birthed the persona wanted to reel him in.

Inspired by a deep love for his new wife, Tillman switched gears once again to pursue a more emotionally honest path with I Love You, Honeybear. He explores that departure with guest host Rachel Giese, and also performs live from his critically praised and popular follow-up album.
