How long would your favourite movie be if cut down to lines spoken by people of colour? Dylan Marron has learned that far too many of his would be troublingly short ... if not total non-starters

The actor, director and blogger runs Every Single Word, a Tumblr site that calls attention to the dearth of substantial speaking roles for people of colour by featuring edited down versions of popular films. Most are shorter than your average trailer. (The entire Lord of the Rings trilogy, for instance, runs just 46 seconds.)

Marron joins Shad to discuss his discomfort with all the words unspoken, his own stories of being skipped over, and why he doesn't buy the common excuses lobbed at frustrated actors and creators of colour.
