Say oh, yes to Jessy Lanza's 'Oh No'

Jessy Lanza pairs her twitchy R&B sound with hyperactive beats and in-your-face vocals.

In just three years, Hamilton's Jessy Lanza has leapt to the forefront of the Canadian electronic music scene.

Her 2013 debut, Pull My Hair Back, made the shortlist for the Polaris Music Prize that year — and she's repeated that feat with her recent sophomore effort, Oh No.

Her twitchy R&B sound is once again in full effect, but her latest hyperactive beats and in-your-face vocals create a more palpable sense of tension.

Today the electro-pop and R&B singer joins guest host Piya Chattopadhyay to discuss her recent international tour, the toughest part of performing alone, and the pressure to follow-up a successful debut.
