Searchlight: 5 fan favourites revealed on q
Have you been following Searchlight, CBC's annual hunt for Canada's next great musical act? If not, jump in! The water's fine.
Today Shad announced the five acts that fans voted into the top 10. They are:
- The Fall Line, Original Sin (Montreal)
- Kellie Loder, On This Drive (St John's)
- Lost Cousins, Drift (Ottawa)
- Devan and Khalid, No Ribbons (Toronto)
- Orange O'Clock, Can't Fight the Feeling (Quebec City)
To discover the five remaining acts in Searchlight's national top 10 — as selected by Searchlight judges Dan Boeckner, Jenn Grant, Saukrates — tune in to your CBC Radio afternoon program.
All 10 will be announced by 4 p.m. ET today, when fans can start voting for up to three artists per day. The final four will be comprised of three judge selections and one fan favourite.
The winner will get $20,000 in gear from Yamaha Canada Music and a gig at the upcoming CBCMusic.ca Festival in Toronto.
