Today's baseball players make much more money than Buck Martinez did behind the plate, but the former Blue Jays catcher thinks they're the ones missing out. 

In the decades since his career-changing collision, Martinez has stayed close to the Toronto team, going from manager to play-by-play commentator. Through decades of insight and opinion, he argues that money has displaced team unity as the heart of baseball — and that the spirit of the game has suffered as a result. 

Still, he sees hope for the future, as chronicled in his new book Change Up: How to Make the Great Game of Baseball Even Better.

Today he joins Shad to talk team chemistry, winning back lapsed fans, and what we can all learn from baseball.
