- Border Security is a reality show showing the day-to-day at Canadian border security, and if it sounds like such a program would be rife with issues, you're not wrong. As it turns out, the Privacy Commissioner has found that Border Security was, in fact, encroaching on people's privacy. The show has been cancelled.
- The recipient of the 2016 Mark Twain Comedy Prize has been announced and this year the winner is Bill Murray. The award will be handed out on October 23.
- Janet Waldo, the voice of Judy Jetson on The Jetsons, passed away on Sunday, June 12, at the age of 96.
- The actor who played ALF, Michu Meszaros, also passed away on Sunday, at the age of 76.
