Last year saw the arrival of TV's Better Call Saul: a spin-off of the epic drug drama Breaking Bad. Bob Odenkirk stars as Saul, a con-man-turned-lawyer who became a fan favourite in the original series.
Now that the spotlight has shifted, a new world of supporting characters — including Saul's older brother Chuck, played by Michael McKean — have come to light.
McKean joins Shad to discuss his mysterious character, a successful lawyer who's on leave from his big law firm, and his complicated relationship with his younger brother. He also reflects on the meaning of loyalty in a world full of con-men and liars.
"People are more than just a paragraph long. People are page after page of contradictions," he says.
