'An African City' sticks a heel in "sad, dire" Africa story

An African City follows a Ghana-born New Yorker who returns to Accra. She quickly connects with a group of independent, wealthy women who aren't afraid to discuss business and pleasure alike. 

Sound familiar? The internet TV show was inspired by Sex and the City, says show creator Nicole Amarteifio. She joins Shad to discuss her problem with the "sad, dire" narrative of Africa and respond to critics who say she oversimplifies in the other direction.
