  • Jazz musician and activist Don Francks died on Sunday after a battle with cancer at the age of 84. The Vancouver-born actor appeared on several CBC shows and was a fixture in the Toronto jazz scene.
  • Erik Bauersfeld, who voiced Admiral Akbar in Return of the Jedi, has also passed away. His line — "It's a trap!" — became iconic for Star Wars fans, though it was a few years before they figured out it was Bauersfeld.
