Orenda author Joseph Boyden on new residential school ballet

Award-winning author Joseph Boyden joins Jian to discuss his collaboration with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet on Going Home Star - Truth and Reconciliation, a ballet that explores the experiences of Indian Residential School Survivors and their families. 

Boyden reflects on stretching the boundaries of the dance form with difficult subject matter, and on why he wanted to tell this story using a traditionally European form of dance.
