Louise Lecavalier dances circles around ageism

Age is clearly just a number for contemporary dancer, Louise Lecavalier. At age 56, she's doing some of the most interesting work of her career.
Le Monde once called Louise Lecavalier an "untameable platinum blonde rebel, refusing all chains..." (Ursula Kaufmann)

At age 56, celebrated Canadian dancer Louise Lecavalier is doing some of the most interesting work of her career. She passes through studio q to discuss her critically acclaimed choreography, why she's not afraid of pain, and how the body and the ego intersect.

"Your body makes you live so many great experiences," she tells Shad. "You can question things and find your own answers to living with your body. Because my body is my mind, and a physical thing also."
