It's strange days indeed in Canada's biggest city, Jian notes in his opening essay.

As the Raptors surged for a major victory last night, Toronto was preparing itself for yet another Rob Ford video scandal. Another crack video, another blow to the city, and to its reputation.

"The Raptors are off to Brooklyn. Rob Ford, we are told, is off to seek help," Jian says. "And in sport, as in life, it's all in the follow-through."
