Judd Apatow knows what makes your favourite comedians tick
Judd Apatow has penned a comedy bible according to funny people like Jerry Seinfeld, Louis C.K., Mel Brooks and Roseanne.
Like many other teenage comedy fans, a 15-year-old Judd Apatow was obsessed with greats like Jerry Seinfeld and Garry Shandling — but unlike his peers, he had the nerve to call them up.
The prolific writer and director has since become a comedic force in his own right, producing films like This Is 40, Knocked Up and Funny People. Now, in a collection of interviews that span decades, Apatow is sharing everything he's learned about the people who make us laugh for a living.
He joins Shad to discuss his new book — Sick in the Head: Conversations about Life and Comedy — and what makes his fellow comedians tick.
