Can con for days! Sportscaster Jay Onrait shares q playlist
Canadian-born, L.A.-based Jay Onrait overcompensates for leaving the country by way of pandering playlist.
As part of our ongoing q playlist series, Canadian-born sportscaster Jay Onrait joins Shad to share his lesser-known but equally intense passion for music.
Although Onrait moved to Los Angeles for a job with Fox, the Canuck is still strong in him. His playlist is 100 per cent Canadian — and perfect for Athabasca bush parties or dorm room jams at Ryerson.
Here it is:
- Maestro Fresh Wes, Let Your Backbone Slide
- The Watchmen, Cracked
- Burton Cummings, Undone
- Broken Social Scene, All to All
- Loverboy, Working for the Weekend
- Neil Young, Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere

After the show, Shad spun four massive arena jams to get Onrait's honest, uncensored opinion.
Plus, we're pretty sure Onrait is an overcompensating ex-pat. Think we're exaggerating? Tick off his Canadian references. (But note: we're not responsible for any drinking games inspired by this challenge.)
