Best of Q: Jones and Humphries on unabashed ambition
Jian talks with Jennifer Jones and Kaillie Humphries about basking in glory at the Olympics.
From the Best of Q, Jian speaks with Team Canada`s curling skip Jennifer Jones and bobsleigh pilot Ka illie Humphries . Both athletes l ed their teams to first place at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.
Jones, a Winnipeg native, says that going to her first Olympics with her team, a nd standing alongside hockey superstar Sidney Crosby, ice dancer Tessa Virtue, and freestyle skiier Alexandre Bilodeau, is a dream.
"Our biggest thing coming to the Olympics is to enjoy it. We've waited a lifetime for this moment, and we wanted to soak up every moment we possibly could," she tells Jian.
In a separate chat, Calgary's Kaillie Humphries tells Jian about t he pressure she felt defending Canada's gold medal.
"My goal since I was seven was always to win an Olympic gold medal," she says. "For me, do I strongly and firmly believe that my best is the best in the world? A hundred per cent."
