Morgan Neville takes us into Keith Richards' world

Shad talks to director Morgan Neville, whose latest documentary Keith Richards: Under the Influence is an intimate conversation with the 71-year-old music legend.

When it comes to a band like the Rolling Stones, everyone knows about the sex, drugs, and rock'n'roll. But director Morgan Neville's new documentary Keith Richards: Under The Influence aims to explore a different side of the music legend.

There's rock'n'roll, of course — Neville brought a crate of records over to Richards' house and the two talked music for hours as the tape rolled. The end result is an intimate window into the mind of a lifelong music fan that goes far beyond the "cardboard persona" Neville says we usually see.

As it premieres at the Toronto International Film Festival this week, Neville joins Shad to talk about the film and the insight he was able to gain about what makes Richards tick.
