Half human, half harp — Emilie & Ogden are a unique musical duo. Montreal singer and harpist Emilie Kahn brings her gentle instrument to studio q, and together they deliver three songs from her lush debut, 10,000.
Kahn also joins Shad to talk about finding her voice as an artist, and the contrast between her light touch and darker lyrics.
Her song What Happened, for instance, was inspired by a former boyfriend who turned out to be the opposite of the person she'd fallen for. "Well, you can't save a bad man, or hear words you want him to say. But you can pray. Well, I am all done prayin'."
