Linden MacIntyre has critical parting words for the CBC

Author, investigative reporter and CBC icon Linden MacIntyre speaks to guest host Tom Power about storied career, his final piece for the fifth estate, and his critical parting words for CBC management.

MacIntyre warns against fostering a cult of personality and letting the face of any show eclipse the team effort. 

"We have to be very careful that this is a big issue," he tells Tom. "The role of celebrity, especially in a workplace like the CBC, where the power of celebrity is undiminished but the vulnerability of people in the system -- the temporary workers, the interns, the junior producers, everybody ambitious -- is [worsening]."
