Is Bollywood misunderstood in the mainstream?

Toronto-based film critic Dilani Rabindran argues that despite the popularity and growing diversity of Bollywood, mainstream news outlets continue to overlook the industry.

Rabindran joins guest host Jelena Adzic to argue that these films go beyond over-the-top song and dance numbers and sappy plotlines — and that they appeal to audiences beyond the South Asian community.
