Weaves keep it 'instinctual' on their new album, Wide Open

On their new album, Wide Open, Weaves tap into the personal side of lead singer Jasmyn Burke while continuing to push the boundaries of pop-rock.
Wide Open is the latest album from Toronto band Weaves.

With its first EP, Weaves gained a reputation for bringing a disruptive but infectious tension to indie rock. Then, the Toronto-based outfit's debut, self-titled album got them even more fans, critical acclaim and a shortlist nomination for this year's Polaris Music Prize.

Wide Open is the title of Weaves' second, upcoming album, and by all accounts they've taken their disruptive rock mission to a new place with lead singer Jasmyn Burke tapping into a personal side she didn't think the world was ready to hear until now.

Weaves play songs from their new album and chat about it with q host Tom Power.
