'I feel like I'm the ambassador for North Bay': Jerry O'Connell on his love for Canada and new TV show Carter

Jerry O'Connell has been working his way through Hollywood since he was 12 years old. If you saw the movie Stand By Me you might remember O'Connell as Vern, one of the young boys who was buddies with Gordie, Chris and Teddy. He got his next big break about a decade later, all grown up, in the movie Jerry Maguire. But if you're in Canada, there's a good chance you might remember O'Connell best from a TV show that aired back in the '80s called My Secret Identity.

Now, there's a new TV series, that's taking O'Connell back to Canada. It's called Carter, and it follows an actor named Harley Mackay, who plays a detective on a hit American TV show. After going through a big Hollywood meltdown, Harley moves back to his tiny hometown of Bishop, Ont., which, as any keen Ontarian may notice, is not a real place. The actual show is, however, filmed in the real Ontario city of North Bay. 

Today, O'Connell joins Tom Power live in the q studio to talk about his big return to Canada in Carter, which premieres Tuesday, May 15 on Bravo.
