For those privileged enough, taking a "gap year" after high-school graduation to travel has become a rite of passage. You know, the kind of trip where you lug around a giant backpack, sleep in questionable hostels and spend your evenings soaking up the local pub culture. It's the kind of trip you take with your buddies, not your 76-year-old father.

But in the new Netflix comedy series, Jack Whitehall: Travels With my Father, that's exactly what happens.

The show follows British comedian Jack Whitehall and his father, Michael, as they embark on a five-week trip across Cambodia, Vietnam and Thailand.

Whitehall was in Toronto for the JFL 42 comedy festival, and he talked with Tom Power about his new series.
