Canadian author Sheila Heti on raising the 'Motherhood' question
Originally published May 4, 2018
Sheila Heti is an author known for asking herself tough questions. For example: how should a person be? That was a question she asked in a novel of the same name eight years ago. After that, Heti started thinking about clothing and why we wear what we wear. The result was a collection of real conversations called Women in Clothes.
In her latest book, Heti confronts one of life's biggest questions. It's called Motherhood, and it's about whether or not to create another human. Today, Heti joins Tom Power to discuss her new book. Her book tour is currently in Montreal with more stops planned, including Los Angeles, Portland and Vancouver.
