Charles Bradley's former co-manager shares the emotional stories behind the soul singer's posthumous singles

After being diagnosed with terminal stomach cancer, the late soul singer continued doing what he loved most and recorded several new songs.

His fans knew him as "the screaming eagle of soul," but Charles Bradley's story began in poverty and homelessness. His music career only started to gather real momentum when he was in his 60s and then, about three years ago, he was diagnosed with terminal stomach cancer.

After his diagnosis, the late soul singer continued doing what he loved most until his death in 2017. Though his voice was weakened by chemotherapy, he recorded several new songs. 

Morton Lorge, his friend and former co-manager, joined q's Tom Power live from New York to share the music and stories from those sessions.
