Schitt's Creek is known for getting big laughs and high ratings. Now, a song from the popular sitcom is climbing up the iTunes charts.

On this week's episode, it comes to light that former billionaire heiress, Alexis Rose, once had a short-lived reality TV career during which she recorded a pop song: A Little Bit Alexis.

Annie Murphy, who plays Alexis, wrote the song with the help of members from the band Hollerado. The frontman of the band, Menno Versteeg, is Murphy's husband.

We asked her to tell us how she and the guys from Hollerado got their inspiration for the song.

Schitt's Creek is now in its fifth season, which you stream on CBC Gem.
