Meet Orville Peck, the masked country music star
The mysterious singer known as Orville Peck is putting a modern spin on classic country. Donning a mask and a stage name, Peck doesn't conform to the genre, but instead brings a queer perspective to his music that has fans and critics buzzing.
He dropped by the q music studio for a conversation with host Tom Power and to perform a few songs off his brand new album, Pony.
"I've always thought of country as this massive genre," said Peck. "There's so much room for diversity within country music and I think it gets a bad rap because people have a certain idea of what they think country music is. I just love the bold storytelling in it."
Watch Peck's performances in the q music studio below. He'll be going on tour soon with dates throughout the summer.
