CBC TV's Interrupt This Program is a series that profiles cultural scenes in cities afflicted by political turmoil and government oppression. The first season of the show earned an International Emmy nomination for best arts program. On Sunday night, it'll return for its second season.

This season, the show will take you to Moscow, Lagos, Jerusalem, Manilla, and Havana, to see how artists cope with, and respond to, tumultuous social circumstances.

The show's co-creators, Nabil Mehchi and Frank Fiorito, join host Tom Power today to talk about their globe-trotting adventures and the brave artists they encountered along the way.

Interrupt This Program premieres this Sunday, Feb. 5, at 9 p.m. on CBC TV.
