Actor Joan Allen is best known for her work in film, including movies like Room, Nixon, The Crucible and the Bourne franchise. Now, she's returned to the stage to star in Broadway's The Waverly Gallery alongside Elaine May and Lucas Hedges.
The Waverly Gallery was written by the acclaimed playwright Kenneth Lonergan. It tells the story of a busy, successful woman who has to put things on hold so she can care for her mother who is slipping further into dementia. Allen joins Tom Power live from New York to talk about relating to the story on the most personal of levels.
