Nichelle Tramble Spellman is the showrunner of the new Apple TV+ drama Truth Be Told, starring Octavia Spencer and Aaron Paul. It follows a journalist-turned-podcaster, played by Spencer, who reinvestigates a murder case that made her career, but which she believes she may have gotten wrong. The series is based on a bestselling book called Are You Sleeping by Kathleen BarberSpellman joined q's Tom Power to talk about Truth Be Told and why she wanted to examine our obsession with true crime.
