This week, we sit down with three accomplished podcasters to hear about their shows.

First, George the Poet joins us from London to talk about his critically acclaimed show, Have You Heard George's Podcast? He tells stories with a unique blend of spoken word poetry, music, and sound design, and you've probably never heard a show like it. This season, he explores the various ways African nations are affected by European colonization.

Then, the latest season of Commons is all about work. Host Arshy Mann tells us about why it's important to explore the jobs we do, the conditions we work in, and why things feel like they've gotten so much harder for working people. We feature a story from Canada's nursing industry, which is facing dire staffing shortages and pay issues.

Finally, actor and comedian Allan McLeod chats with Leah about his new show, Walkin' About. It's a loving and funny tribute to the simple act of walking, the places it can take us, and the people we do it with. Most of all, it'll really make you want to take a walk.

Have You Heard George's Podcast?: "Too many people don't know that Ghana was the first African country to break free from colonial rule. Why does that matter? How could it not? Control of Africa's resources keeps the rich world rich. What would happen if Ghana's example set off an anti-colonial cascade across the continent? George revisits the country's freedom struggle through the rise of Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana's first president."

Commons: "In this episode, we'll tell you how nursing went from a profession hailed as heroic to one in an utter state of crisis, all through the eyes of a woman who lived through it all."

Walkin' About: "From tranquil nature hikes and cemetery strolls, to urban exploration and bar crawls, come along with Allan and his funny, famous, and friendly guests as they find their way on foot. Let's get our walk on!"
