"You don't get rid of shadow, you learn how to use it. There is strength and goodness and power even in the shadow" - Hillary

Hillary shares listener feedback from Maggie's session in Other People's Problems season one. Hillary encourages Maggie to feel empowered by the inspiration she has offered others and her progress generally.

Listen for:

  • Hillary wants Maggie to know she's made a difference in others' lives because it is part of her therapy that fights against suicidal thoughts.
  • Maggie uses crime podcasts to stay within her "window of tolerance." Hillary encourages her to recognize what activities bump her mood up, and what things pull her down. Crime podcasts are better than online shopping sprees, binge eating, and shoplifting prosciutto.
