Now or Never

The art of preserving memories before they disappear

Have you ever wished you had written something down, or recorded it to preserve a cherished memory of someone? It can take some planning, or spontaneous action, but it's well worth it in the end.

Have you ever wished you had written something down, or recorded it to preserve a cherished memory of someone?

Arielle Piat-Sauvé felt that urgency as her grandmother, a Holocaust survivor, began slipping into dementia. She asked her grandmother to share her memories of that time before they're gone forever. And when Robin Summerfield's husband Mike O'Brien died two years ago, he left behind letters and audio stories for Robin and their young son. She'll take a listen for the very first time. And we'll explore the connection between food and memory, with a sandwich dedicated to the memory of restaurateur Kamal Mehra.
