Trevor and Ify hit the highway
By Ify Chiwetelu
When Trevor and I discussed the perfect way to kick off the summer, only two words came to mind: "road" and "trip." While road trips were a staple for Trevor when he was growing up, I can't remember a single one that my family went on. If we were traveling, we flew. When we couldn't afford that, we stayed home. Our family stayed home a lot.
But, with the promise of ice cream cones, sing-a-longs, and beautiful views, Trevor and I took off on our very first Now or Never road trip. I very quickly learned that with road trips, the destination is hardly the goal. While we made our way to Lockport, Man., we stopped in on a powwow, cast some fishing lines with kind strangers, and even gifted hard working construction workers with popsicles.
Check out the video above to see what Trevor and I got up to, then head out on your own road trip! When you do, make sure to work together on your road trip playlist, it'll save you a lot of arguments...
