After months of failed talks, negotiations between the Teamsters Union and railway companies CN and CPKC finally came to a screeching halt this week. The two major freight rails shutdown completely, locking out over 9,000 of their workers and leaving consumers, commuters, farmers and manufacturers across Canada spiraling.

Now, with the federal government intervening and CN Railway workers issuing a 72-hour strike notice, Canada's rail saga continues.

This Saturday on CBC Radio's Just Asking, you're invited to call in with your questions about the shutdown, the union's demands, and what's at stake for Canada's economy if the railways don't resume full service.
