On Saturday, tennis player Bianca Andreescu became the first Canadian to win a singles Grand Slam title after beating Serena Williams at the U.S. Open. Andreescu had to overcome a sometimes hostile crowd and one of the best players of all time to secure the win.

CBC's Devin Heroux checks in from New York, where he followed Andreescu's stunning victory up close. As well, Racquet Magazine publisher Caitlin Thompson explains what makes Andreescu's game so special. "You get a sense she's self-assured and self-aware, which is a cool combination," says Thompson. "She has tools and does things very few people can do."
