In 2010, Anthony Bourdain talked about his mental health struggles and the song that 'saved' his life
'I was at a very, very low point in my life'
Anthony Bourdain, celebrity chef, author and host of the TV series Parts Unknown, died Friday at the age of 61.
His death was announced in a statement by CNN early Friday morning. The cause of death was suicide, according to the network.
Bourdain spoke with Day 6 host Brent Bambury in 2010. At the time, he shared his love of music with Bambury — and discussed his struggles with mental health and drug and alcohol use.
During the interview, Bourdain spoke about one song in particular — Time Has Come Today by The Chambers Brothers — that he said "saved" his life.
