Can immigrants save Atlantic Canada?

Frank McKenna, former premier of New Brunswick, proposes requiring some immigrants to live in Atlantic Canada for at least three years before getting citizenship. But not everyone thinks the mandatory residency requirement will actually help address the region's population and economic woes. Brent speaks with Stephen McNeil, premier of Nova Scotia.

This week, former New Brunswick Premier Frank McKenna said he thinks the federal government should require some immigrants to live in Atlantic Canada for at least three years before receiving citizenship. But is settling immigrants in an area where locals are leaving for opportunities elsewhere the solution to Atlantic Canada's economic and population woes? And what happens after three years?
