Monday is election day and the campaign for Canada's 42nd federal election kicked-off so long ago that most people can't even remember that far back. Which got us thinking about when we first realized as young people that there was such a thing as politics. It's something we all have in common -- that first political memory.

We reached out to some well-known Canadians for their favourite political stories. In this segment we'll hear from: rapper and q host Shadrach Kabango, former Governor General Adrienne Clarkson, CBC's Michael Enright, the Globe & Mail's Margaret Wente, author and broadcaster Wab Kinew and our own Brent Bambury, host of Day 6.
