Edward Windsor abdicated the British throne as the imperial ambitions of the Nazis rose across Europe. To Hitler, the one-time King looked to be a very valuable pawn. And, according to Andrew Morton's new book, "17 Carnations," the Nazis might have seemed to be a way back to the throne for Edward. "The Germans had this scheme to bring him in as a puppet king," Morton told Day 6. "And the signs from Edward gave them enormous encouragement."
