The millennial generation gets a lot of blame these days for allegedly killing products: from napkins to canned tuna, cable television to diamond rings. 

Another staple on that list? Breakfast cereal.

Still, consumer products go away all the time, so can one generation truly take the blame for declining cereal sales?
