INTRODUCTION
We all have our favourite reading spots at this time of year. Maybe it's a worn Muskoka chair on your apartment balcony or a sun lounger on a sandy beach by a lake or an ocean. Maybe it's a hammock strung out between leafy trees or perhaps a quiet bench or picnic blanket at a local park. There's something about summer that speaks of lazy afternoons with a tall glass and a good book.
Today we want to hear about books you want to recommend for our annual list of good summer reading. Anything goes - fiction, non-fiction, poetry... The only requirement we have is that the book is in print, or available as an e-book.
Which brings me to another question: As well as hearing your book recommendation, we'd like to know what you are reading on. Are you still reading on good, old fashioned paper? Or have you switched holus bolus to e-readers? Do you move back and forth between printed books and their electronic counterparts?
Our question today: What is your recommendation for our summer list of good reading? I'm Susan McReynolds... on CBC Radio One and on Sirius XM satellite radio channel 169, this is Cross Country Checkup.
