Wayne Arthurson didn't set out to write a detective series, but then his protagonist, gambling addict Leo Desroches, started turning up bodies.

Now, Wayne has published the third in the series of books set in Edmonton, Blood Red Summer, and is working on the fourth.

Wayne talked to Candy about his inspirations, how much his main character is like him (spoiler: not much), and his other unexpected writing passion—a blog about the Amazing Race Canada TV show.
