It's never to late to learn to learn how to swim.

Peter Scott grew up around the water but never felt quite comfortable in the deep end.

Eventually, he overcame those fears and now he spends his days teaching adults how to feel comfortable in the water.

His answer? Embracing the fear.

"The biggest thing is embarrassment. I think people assume they should know by now, like it's some natural talent that we all have—which it isn't," Peter told Candy.

The first thing Peter teaches is to be control of the process. He said his own experience with swimming lessons as a child involved very little control, and he wanted to change that for his students.

"For adults, they kind of know what's coming and whether they're up to it and what's the plan B," Peter said.
