Ahead of the 2016 Summer Olympics, the days of synchronized swimmers Jacqueline Simoneau and Karine Thomas were filled with training.

The swimmers estimated they spent anywhere from 50 to 60 hours in each other's company on a weekly basis—in the pool and out in the world. They noticed their thoughts have been strangely in sync, too.

We revisit Jacqueline and Karine's conversation with Candy ahead of their competition in Rio.

The duo will be competing in the preliminary round of Women's duet synchronized swimming on Sunday, August 14.
