Our Olympians | Georgia Simmerling competes in three different sports in three Olympics
Georgia Simmerling doesn't stop at one victory. The 26-year-old did the Super G at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics; became a five-time World Cup medallist in ski cross; and this summer, she's representing Canada in 2016 Rio Olympics as a cyclist.
The road to victory has been rocky. Georgia was put in a body brace for seven weeks after she broke three vertebrae in her neck and back during a skiing accident in 2012.
During that time, she reflected on what she really wanted to do, and soon realized she wanted to take on cycling. Now, she's making history by becoming first Canadian athlete to compete in three sports in three different Olympic games.
Georgia talks to Candy about why she decided to shake things up and switch sports.
Georgia will be competing in Rio in Women's team pursuit event tomorrow, August 11.
